As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall management of projects which comprise complex initiatives.
Location of position:
Phoenix, Tucson, AZ or Sacramento, CA.

Duties
At the GS-11 you will be assisting performing the duties, at the GS-12 you will be performing the following duties with less supervision:

- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable

The GS-11 salary range in Sacramento, CA starts at $80,217 per year.
The GS-11 salary range in Phoenix, AZ starts at $75,783 per year.
The GS-11salary range in Tucson, AZ starts at $73,858 per year.
The GS-12 salary range in Sacramento, CA starts at $96,148 per year.
The GS-12 salary range in Phoenix, AZ starts at $90,833 per year.
The GS-12 salary range in Tucson, AZ starts at $88,525 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
GS-11: To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing project management practices and tools to manage or assist with construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include:
Managing projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project planning phase through financial closeout;
Interpreting customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements;
Coordinating and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
Coordinating and facilitating decisions with multiple stakeholders;
Applying procurement knowledge and experience to assist with managing contracts supporting assigned projects; and
Participating in negotiations for sound real estate business transactions.
OR
You may also qualify if you have 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree if the education provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
GS-12:
To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing project management practices and tools to simultaneously manage multiple construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include:
Managing projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project initiation phase through financial closeout;
Interpreting customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements;
Developing, managing, and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
Coordinating and facilitating decisions by managing multiple stakeholders;
Applying procurement knowledge and experience to manage contracts supporting assigned projects; and
Negotiating sound real estate business transactions.
