This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, Investor Program Office (IPO), Operations Division. As a Supervisory Adjudication Officer, you will manage all adjudications of the EB-5 program and other USCIS form types through daily guidance, instruction and mentoring of IPO Adjudication Officers. You will advise the Operations Division Chiefs on all matters related to IPO adjudications.

Duties

Perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities such as providing performance feedback to employees, recruitment and hiring, encouraging and recognizing employee achievements and creating a work environment free from discrimination. Interpret, apply and enforce immigration and nationality laws including planning and conducting research concerning the eligibility entitlements of persons seeking immigration benefits under the Immigration and Nationality Act. Perform analysis of cross-cutting programmatic needs; provide instrumental expertise in the initiation and formulation of policies and procedures in adjudications and immigration programs and implement changes. Develop standard operating procedures to maximize efficiency and technology use, detect and prevent benefit fraud, improve work quality and productivity of operations and monitor progress to determine if objectives are being met. Research and analyze problems and issues; make recommendations on sensitive cases within USCIS and from the Department of State and other entities; and prepare decision papers for leadership when necessary. Develop, maintain, and coordinate guidance and oversight related to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.

Qualifications

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/26/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/26/2024. GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Providing advice and guidance on a variety of complex adjudications; Researching and providing recommendations on complex and sensitive cases concerning the eligibility entitlements of persons seeking immigration benefits under the Immigration and Nationality Act; Leading a team through the development process of new immigration policies and procedures to include researching and analyzing current regulations and precedent setting cases.
