About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, CIO/G-6, ENT Application Division, in Arlington, Virginia. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.

Duties

Provide technical expertise regarding all aspects of information management throughout the Army National Guard. Manage all aspects of information technology asset management (ITAM) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) lifecycle. Ensure full integration with the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process. Administer the full range of supervisory duties using subordinate supervisors to direct, coordinate, or oversee work for a staff of subordinate civilian and military personnel.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory IT Specialist (Policy and Planning): Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and evaluating alternative results from design, testing, evaluation and integration of work processes, computer hardware and software, and architectural design concepts; managing the lifecycle of technology systems and services from acquisition to eventual retirement; Identifying, developing and validating organizational information technology and data management policies and practices; coordinating C4IM (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management) requirements and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development processes; administering IT acquisition support and contract management; supervising staff of both civilian and/or military personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
