Duties

You will guide employees on issues related to a sexual assault prevention and response program. You will serve as point of contact for senior management, faculty, or staff regarding sexual assault response programs. You will complete risk assessments and documentation for case review. You will develop reports, information papers, talking points, briefing packages, or other Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program information for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an active D-SAACP certification in accordance with Section 584 of Public Law 112-81 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6495.03, , and any subsequent policy updates applicable to this program.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Occasional travel outside the local area may be required, up to 25% for meetings, training, or other program related events, or needs.

Qualifications

GS-11 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars. GS-09 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars. Education

Applicants must meet the following basic/positive education qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:Applicants must possess:
  • Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR
  • Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR
  • Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Applicants may substitute the following education for the required specialized experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
  • Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR
  • Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree. OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
