As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The Separations Standard Analysis Branch provides analytical studies and related safety monitoring services in support of separation airspaces.

Duties

The Separations Standard Analysis Branch provides analytical studies and related safety monitoring services in support of separation reductions in international, off-shore, and related airspaces. The position will execute the program management responsibilities of the Separations Standards Program. These responsibilities include the management of approximately $2 million dollars annually and fulfilling the role of Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for, and/or managing of, an engineering support services contract with an approximate total value of $9 million dollars.

Qualifications

To view the complete qualification standard, applicants should reference – U.S. Office of Personnel Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Operation Research Series:Operations Research Series 1515 (opm.gov)Basic Requirements:Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.To qualify for this position at the K-band you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J or FG/GS-14. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience is: Experience leading analytical studies and related safety monitoring services of separation reductions network equipment and standards compliance in international, off-shore, and related airspace to include knowledge of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) separations standards.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
