This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southwest Region in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position provides clerical and administrative support for the Division of Land Titles and Records.

Duties
Serves as receptionist for the Division.
Establishes and maintains logs showing the status of actions and correspondence.
Maintains a cuff account system for office expenditures.
Serves as a timekeeper.
Uses a personal computer to produce a variety of documents.
Making arrangements for large conferences, taking minutes of meetings, locating and assembling information for various reports, briefings, conferences.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Position, GS-0318.)
GS-05: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include maintaining an effective office filing system; perform time and attendance; maintaining calendar and schedule appointment; monitor incoming and outgoing correspondence; maintain inventory control of office supplies and forms and reviewing documents to ensure proper use of format and grammar;or4 years above high school education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school;orCombination of education and experience which meets 100% of the qualification requirement.
GS-06: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include preparing and reviewing correspondence; receiving and screening all visitors and telephone calls; maintaining the calendar and scheduling appointments and meetings; perform time and attendance; prepare procurement documents to requisition office supplies, equipment, and publications. and responding to routine and non-technical requests for information.
Proficiency Requirements: Position with Parenthetical Title of Office Automation - In addition to meeting experience or education requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of 40 word per minute typing speed. Applicants may meet this requirement by self-certifying their proficiency. Experience using automation and computers for supply management is highly desired.
The full performance level of this position is GS-06. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education which shows the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
