About the Position: Serves as Chief of the GVMP Procurement Branch, works under policy statements, regulations, and laws, with a depth of specialized knowledge. Develops policy, guidance, and managerial procedures, such as indicators designed to promote efficient and effective veterinary supply support operations for the Veterinary Treatment Facilities (VTF) and Army Veterinary Services (AVS). Supervises three Agency Program Coordinators (A/OPC) for the third largest GPC program in the Army.

Duties

Direct long range and annual medical supply planning. Provide customer support using supply systems and financial information in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system or other automated systems. Logistics expert in supply and budget management for Class VIII Medical Supplies, to include TSMP, and GPC purchases. Serve as action officer and advisor on consolidated installation/retail supply accounting and Supply Chain Management operations. Develop databases, reports, and automated routines for use in tracking expenditures. Develop surveillance to track, monitor, and evaluate Process Improvement relevant to logistics and environment of care standards.

Requirements

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Control of FundsData Collection and UsageMedical Supply Inventory ManagementOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
