Duties
The position is located in Headquarters Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Fort Belvoir, VA.
Responsible for the immediate review and analysis of information contained in complaint submissions to determine if submission should be categorized as a Priority 1 which must be immediately forwarded to the Inspector General for action.
Assists OIG Investigators in the research of pertinent regulations, laws, policies and procedures to assist in the determination the type of allegation contained in the complaint to complete OIG Investigative Case Analysis Form.
Assists OIG Investigators in the research of pertinent regulations, laws, policies and procedures to assist in determining the type of allegation contained in the complaint to complete OIG Complaint Registration Form and Preliminary Analysis.
Uses varied and advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.

Qualifications
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.
Proficiency Requirement: You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-7 or equivalent level.
Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes experience in investigative procedures and policies; searching, gathering, screening, and providing factual information or explanations; assisting in the analysis of data and compiling information in support of investigations; and performing office management practices and administrative support processes.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
