Position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL), National Acquisition Center (NAC), Denver Logistics Center (DLC), Supply & Logistics Division. The DLC operates as a Supply Funded retail and wholesale distribution center in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The DLC is an operational arm of OPAL that provides medical equipment, supplies, and services directly to Veterans and clinics and hospitals nationwide.

This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-07. At the GS-11 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-11. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Promotion is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.
Works with collaboration group to learn usage transaction, track the timing of reorder points, verify cost changes for parts and sub-components, and track the activity in all DLC.
Works in a collaboration team while learning to control, determine, verify, and process individual orders of medical supplies, including prosthetic and sensory aid items, from one or more specific commodity programs, for receipt and shipment directly to Veterans and health care facilities worldwide.
Perform basic data entry for complex inventory management software applications for the accurate accounting, quality control, discrepancy analysis and resolution, and identifying correct stock locations, for all incoming medical supplies.
Conducts recurring procedures in VA automated inventory systems to monitor commodity demand trends, inventory accuracy and order fulfillment rates.
Ensures items are described correctly in DLC systems such as approved stock number, item description, packaging criteria and other descriptive information.
Qualifications
GS-7
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in computer data entry and extraction procedures from multiple computer systems and programs; knowledge of all shipping/receiving documents and their applicable preparation, including, receiving reports, purchase orders, discrepancy reports, shipping receipts and inventory reports.

Superior Academic Achievement (SAA). Completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position and meet one of the following: 1. Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision. 2. A grade-point average of "B" (a GPA of 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study. 3. A grade point average of "B+" (a GPA of 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study. 4. Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. Physical Requirements: The incumbent typically works indoors in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting rooms. Observance of normal safety practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations is required. The area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
