You will serve as a Program Manager in the Acquisition Group, Program Management Department Division/Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will be responsible for all cost, schedule and performance management of all assigned the programs and projects. You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings You will ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership. You will analyze needs and requirements information necessary for development of specific objectives for assigned program initiatives and for planning. You will serve as liaison and representative in negotiations with other commands and offices of the Navy, DOD, other governmental agencies and private organizations on matters pertaining to the program.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least oone year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band DA-05 or grade level (GS-12/13) or in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
