You will serve as an OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will perform more complicated routine assignments under close supervision of supervisor, project manager, Subject Matter Experts (SME) or Senior
Operations Research Analyst.
You will be provided detailed and specific instructions for tasks involving unfamiliar formats, methods and procedures.
You will perform analytical work with overall inventory programs, integrated systems, provisioning, allowance, configuration management, inventory, engineering, budgetary planning and execution, planning and execution, supply system maintenance.
You will participate in a variety of projects utilizing supply management/supply skills to provide assistance in evaluating requirements and procedures, assisting with the preparation of technical reports.
You will analyze management problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating knowledge and skill identifying and analyzing problems as well as using advanced computer techniques to create visual representations and models of complex problems and data.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing solutions to problems using applied operations research and systems analysis techniques;
2) Developing tools for others to easily view and manipulate data;
3) Interpreting, understanding, and using various mathematical models and techniques;
4) Planning and measuring system performance to identify problem areas;
5) Performing the analysis, planning, coordination and execution of quantities and qualitative studies.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: in Operations Research;
OR at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science,
OR subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
