You will serve as an Operations Research Analyst of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and implementing assigned Ops Research projects that support acquisition duties such as aligning analytical strategy and execution in support of Enterprise strategic guidance and fleet requirements.
You will perform data analysis to support planning, contracting, program management, financial, etc.
You will help to develop supply chain metrics for the WSS Commander and Vice Commander to track supply chain performance and readiness.
You will ensure that the right spares, repair parts and supplies are available in the right quantities, at the right place, and at the right time to provide supply support (one of the twelve Integrated Product Support elements) to the warfighter.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS 12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Apply a systematic approach to identify, examine and analyze problems; 2) Develop alternative solutions/courses of actions, analyze data, and present recommendations; 3) Apply knowledge of data analytics to facilitate solutions to the analysis and modeling of logistics problems; 4) Research, understand, and interpret mathematical models as a representation of the processes under study; 5) Assist in designing various analytical, simulation, optimization, and scientific techniques to solve logistics problems.
GS 13: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing all of the following duties: 1) Apply a systematic approach to identify, examine and analyze problems; 2) Develop alternative solutions/courses of actions, analyze data, and present recommendations; 3) Apply knowledge of data analytics software and functionality to facilitate solutions to the analysis and modeling of complex logistics problems; 4) Research, develop, understand, and interpret mathematical models as a representation of the processes under study; 5) Design and apply various analytical, simulation, optimization, and scientific techniques to solve complex logistics problems.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
