You will serve as a Visual Information Specialist (Medical) in the Medical Graphic Arts Department, Visual Informaiton Directorate of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.
Duties
You will plan, design and animate a wide variety of medical artwork or computer graphics from initial planning stage through final production.
You will design, create and assemble materials for presentations, publications and exhibits.
You will use state-of-the-art, electronic and digital, computer-associated techniques and technologies to ensure the highest-level final product.
You will coordinate projects and customer/client and establish priorities to conform with the budgetary directives based on feasibility of methods available for completion within deadlines.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing visual arts/media production methods and techniques to provide advice and guidance to Leadership and other visual arts specialists and to develop original designs, concepts or visual styles for information/education/training presentation materials, publications and exhibits or displays for an intended audience.
Experience utilizing visual information methods and graphic design techniques that accomplish visual information tasks or design projects to create complex computer images from abstract ideas or concepts and integrate these images into the design and production of visual information projects.
Experience with state-of-the-art desk-top publishing systems and computer-generated art and graphic systems.
Experience utilizing principles and elements of design, graphic design methods, tools and techniques, and the uses of various graphic formats (i.e., 35mms, viewgraphs, TV, print media, computer-generated graphics, etc.) utilized in the original design and production of visual information projects to determine the best way to present visual information and meet the needs of the client.

Education
For GS-11:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
For GS-12: There is no educational substitution
