About the Position: This position is located with Army Community Services (ACS), Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN.

Duties

Provides comprehensive services to family members with special physical, emotional, or educational needs that limit daily functioning. May make home visit to further assess special needs or at risk circumstances. Coordinates with the agency and community personnel to identify family recreational and cultural needs, arranging and scheduling activities and events based on identified needs and interests. Conducts interviews and provides case work services to soldiers with family members who have physical, developmental, emotional, or intellectual disabilities, residing on the installation or in the surrounding community.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Community PolicingCustomer ServiceInformation Gathering Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: To support the Advancement requirement you MUST submit a copy of your latest non-award SF-50 that reflects your highest grade held on a permanent basis along with your application/resume package.
