Duties
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Management, Comptroller Department, Budget Execution Division, Region Budget Execution at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific (NCTAMS PAC).
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration such as formulation of budget and estimates to support program/activities, presenting/defending budget estimates, reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will use budgetary policies, procedures and regulations to prepare and analyze reports.
You will use financial management systems to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
You will research financial regulations and fiscal accounting sources to assure utilization of funds.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
-Experience providing financial execution guidance and assistance to site point of contacts (POCs).
-Experience analyzing and validating financial and accounting requirements to ensure accuracy.
-Experience analyzing and validating execution which may include research to resolve issues and/or inconsistencies.
-Experience providing analysis and recommendation to execute budget within controls and meet execution targets.
This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0501-12.
