This position is in the Office of Facilities and Administrative Services, Division of Administrative Services, Branch of Conference and Special Events. The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and professional knowledge of all aspects of audiovisual pre- productions, productions and post-productions sponsored by the Secretary of the Interior and Departmental bureaus and offices.
Duties
Leads and performs assignments coordinating requirements and operating audiovisual equipment for meetings, events and video conferencing. Coordinates and plans production activities, identifies, and assembles required multi-media and/or audiovisual equipment.
Knowledge and technical skills required within areas of audiovisual and multi-media production (pre-production/production/post-production), live events, meeting support, studio productions, video conference operations, webinars, and video streaming.
Assembles and executes set designs and production activities, including: setting up and operating cameras, installing, testing, and setting of audiovisual equipment. Test and monitors audio and video levels for control and quality of recordings.
Works with other support personnel and specialized equipment including setup, testing and operation of public address systems, video conferencing equipment, video switchers and cameras, audio recording, and phone interface.
Performs pre-production, production, and post-production activities, to include operating equipment and recording audio and video for archiving and reference and/or non-linear video editing.
Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
Directing a range of audiovisual and multi-media productions including (pre-production / production / post-production), live events, meeting support, studio productions, video conference operations, webinars, and video streaming.
Assembling and executing set designs and production activities, including setting up and operating cameras, installing, testing, and setting of audiovisual equipment.
Operating specialized audiovisual equipment including video conferencing, video switchers, cameras, audio recording, and phone interface.
Performing post-production activities, to include operating software and equipment for video editing.
Providing professional solutions to resolve complex audiovisual problems.
Communicating orally and in writing.
