Duties

The incumbent must be a customer service professional who can work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Things happen quickly and continuously in this position, and the incumbent will find the need to move from one task to another without much time in between or juggling multiple duties at the same time. As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), you will perform the following duties: Provide guidance in the development, implementation, operation, and ongoing assessment of new and current Human Resources (HR) information systems and functionalities; Maintain HR information systems, applications, and databases through continuous and strategic requirements gathering, User stories, IT Project Management and training; Provide advice and assistance in the production and maintenance of Human Resources (HR) reporting tools to include metrics dashboards, data visualization reports, as well as regular and ad hoc workforce reports that support data-driven decision-making capabilities for the agency; Analyze data requirements and draw associated conclusions from information stored in application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemes to support HR IT planning and execution.

You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Implementing and maintaining human resources (HR) information systems; Generating, analyzing, and interpreting HR reports and metrics to support decision-making; Utilizing HR databases and software applications to ensure accurate and timely reporting; Providing technical support and training to users on HR systems and reporting tools; Ensuring compliance with federal regulations and agency policies in HR data management.
