This vacancy is for aGS-0101-14, Sexual Assault Prevention Response and Recovery Service Manager located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF SAPRR OVERSIGHT and POLICY -CG-114 located in Washington, D.C.
This position is at the full performance level.
Duties
You will serve as a Sexual Assault Prevention Response and Recovery Service Manager and will be responsible for serving as a principal staff advisor for the SAPRR program and technical expert/consultant for SAPRR operational issues; Supervising SAPRR professionals, including Supervisory Regional Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (R-SARCs), Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs), and Victim Advocate Program Specialists (VAPs); and managing the SAPRR headquarters Inspection Program.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Social Science, 0101 positions and Group Coverage Qualifications Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.
-OR-
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must be included in your resume. Specialized experience must include the following:
Applying legal, regulatory, and program guidance to the management of sexual assault cases.
Coordinating the provision of care for victims through proactive assistance/advocacy efforts; and
Serving as the subject matter expert and/or primary technical advisor to a Command/Organization on all things related to sexual assault and victim advocacy.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
