You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL) in the Naval Education and Training Command, Naval Service Training Command of NROTC UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO.
Duties
You will service as primary conduit for maintaining program continuity for all Navy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC program requirements.
You will plan, develop, and implement procedures for administrative data collection and advises Unit staff on correct procedures.
You will develop training for midshipmen to explain requirements and policies tied to their scholarships, educational requirements, commissioning/service requirements and pay/entitlements, training is both formal in groups or as needed individually.
You will conduct administrative orientation briefs for new students.
You will be responsible for midshipmen/student disenrollment processing ensuring legal requirements for Due Process are met.
You will maintain Tuition and Fee Records.
You will input all required information on each NROTC midshipmen/student into required systems.
You will develop process in preparing scholarship board packages for side-load scholarship board consideration.
You will travel for five to six week periods each year to support summer training.
You will perform administrative duties such as: travel support, obtain, evaluate, and process medical program requirements, pre-commissioning packets and officer’s records, and provide support to Activity Security Manager (ASM).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Utilize filing systems and reference materials to research and prepare a variety of reports and correspondence.
Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with thorough knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Utilizing governing (e.g. DON), regulations to develop procedures and methods leading to a commission for leadership academy (e.g., NROTC), candidates.
Carrying out leadership academy (e.g., NROTC), organizational functions, procedures, regulations, and time constraints involved in processing Students, (e.g., Midshipmen), at an Academy.
Using software & data systems such as Online Program Management Information System (OPMIS) and Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS) systems to input, extract and/or process information for leadership academy (e.g., NROTC), candidates.
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Utilize filing systems and reference materials to research and prepare a variety of reports and correspondence.
Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with thorough knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Using software & data systems such as Online Program Management Information System (OPMIS) and Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS) systems to input, extract and/or process information for leadership academy (e.g., NROTC), candidates.
Assisting in the developing procedures and methods leading to a commission for leadership academy (e.g., NROTC), candidates.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
