You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) of NROTC UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO.
Salary Range for GS-06 level: $44,117-$57,354
Salary Range for GS-05 level: $39,576-$51,446
Duties
You will have experience with DON regulations to develop procedures and methods leading to a commission for NROTC candidates.
You will have to experience with NROTC organizational functions, procedures, regulations, and time constraints involved in processing Midshipmen.
You will have to experience with filing systems and reference materials in order to research and prepare a variety of reports and correspondence.
You will have to experience communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with thorough knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
You will have to experience with OPMIS and TOPS systems used within NROTC.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining filing systems of various records; 2) Entering data into automated database systems; 3) Reviewing documents for completeness and compliance with established guidelines; and 4) Utilizing office automation equipment and software in order to prepare a variety of forms and correspondence.
GS-05
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of human resources procedures; 2) Ability to use personal computer to prepare documents; 3) Ability to use software programs to extract, revise, or sort data; 4) Receiving calls, greeting visitors, responding to routine requests for information.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-05
Successful completion of 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
