About the Position: Serves as the Contract Support Analyst with the primary responsibility to assist management in developing and monitoring near and long-range plans to meet service contract requirements.

Duties

Monitor the status of contract deliverables as outlined in the contract. Analyze the contracting administrative processes. Review cost data and documents such as cost/schedule status reports, contract fund status reports, and cost performance reports. Generate electronic databases and documents related to the administration of contracts. Ensure costs incurred and expenditures remain within budget. Make recommendations for appropriate changes to help determine effectiveness and efficiency to help streamline the process. Collect quantitative and qualitative data in significant areas relating to contract operations. Maintain records of performance and delivery against those schedules.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes participating in contracting processes, and ability to interpret and apply contract clauses and procurement regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [if related] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting, Contract Law, Economics, Finance, Industrial Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
