Duties

Acquires a wide range of standard and unique training supplies, services, equipment, and materials through the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program. Serves as purchasing coordinator with responsibility for accurate and timely submission of procurement actions for supplies, services, and equipment in support of live training operations and activities. Incumbent is responsible for planning, controlling, and managing acquisition of training services, range equipment, and supplies in support of live training. Work requires an in-depth understanding of the training mission and how the functional areas interrelate along with a broad understanding of acquisition, Finance, Army Information Management System (ARIMS) Filing, and information processing.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain an OF 346 driver's license within 6 months of appointment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a forklift license within 6 months of appointment.
  • This position requires rotating shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • TDY of 5% is occasionally required.
  • Incumbent is required to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and comply with OSHA safety standards.
  • Heavy lifting of 50 pounds may be required.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain all training requirements for Government Purchase Card program and Contracting Officers Representative duties.
