You will serve as a COST ESTIMATOR in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time.
Duties
You will prepare fundable and job cost estimates projects in support of program goals and objectives.
You will create reports to document cost estimates, job plans, work scheduling, or tracking of work in progress.
You will carry out routine cost estimates, resolving conventional problems.
You will apply analytical and evaluation techniques in support of the maintenance and construction facilities program goals and objectives.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying cost estimating concepts, theories, principles, practices relating to the building and construction industry; 2) Applying a wide range of facilities maintenance, repair, alteration and construction principles and practices; 3) Applying analytical and technical skills to determine and provide support; and 4) Studying, analyzing, and developing ways to improve the accuracy, adequacy, timeliness, and validity of cost estimates including cost data and cost related processes.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
