Duties
You will make complex technical decisions and judgements for repairs on complex boiler systems.
You will ensure all safety procedures and environmental control safeguards are followed.
You will maintain remote heating boilers and perform major overhauls of the entire system including repair, replacement, and installation of boilers and equipment.
You will perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant systems and equipment.
You will monitor and test the operation of power boiler systems to identify malfunctions and potential problems with equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks including:1) Installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of steam and hot water equipment systems involving power boilers with complicated components, critical requirements and rigid tolerance; 2) Monitoring and adjusting thermostats, switches, regulators, and other safety devices and alarm systems in compliance with established safety standards; 3) Troubleshooting and repairing pollution control equipment; and 4) Using electronic controls, devices and automatic boiler management systems to identify equipment malfunctions.
