You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the AIR OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAS JRB FT WORTH.

Duties

You will maintain computerized record systems and databases for a department. You will answer nontechnical requests for information which can be provided based on information from records and files or personal knowledge of the organization. You will answer and direct calls to appropriate personnel for customer assistance. You will determine specific action to take to correct discrepancies, errors, or problems following instructions and procedures. You will use software systems to create documents (e.g., graphs, charts, spreadsheets) to track and record data. You will manage the Air Operations operational budget, work with Navy budgeting systems, and track quarterly and annual spend plans for the department. Maintains supply records, utilizes the Government Purchase Card (as applicable) , and orders parts and services through an automated system using Federal, Naval and commercial supply sources/systems to support Air Operations.

Requirements

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You may be required to drive to SERVMART or other local vendor for supply purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating and providing administrative services including document preparation, maintenance of records, and data entry; 2) Managing records and documents to ensure conformance and proper distribution; 3) Preparing and reviewing correspondence, reports, and memoranda for proper grammar, format, spelling, and completeness of content; and 4) Utilizing Microsoft programs to enter, update and modify textual and statistical data for reports, records, graphs and charts.
