Duties
As a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Strategy Coordination Cell (SC2), ensuring that operations and activities comply with Federal legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and program objectives. Researches, interprets, analyzes, and develops courses of action.
Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of DoD and National objectives. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with OSD, JS, and USG Inter-Agencies, command leadership, and subordinates.
Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Supervises SC2 personnel

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station including travel on military or commercial aircraft.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force
Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted
after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
- Key Position: The duty of this position meets requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated
during a national emergency or mobilization. Must be removed from Ready Reserve.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Mastery level knowledge of Joint Information Operation strategy, policy, doctrine, plans, and combatant command activities in relation to Joint Staff planning and processes; extensive knowledge of a broad range of military operations, functions, requirements, and capabilities in support of real-world crisis.
Comprehensive knowledge of the combatant command mission across the JDDE and structure of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard for use in planning and coordinating OIE issues between supporting and supported unified commands.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written communication is essential. Effective communication is required due to frequent contact with senior-level representatives of military/civilian agencies involved in sensitive plans and programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
