Duties
Serves as a Division Chief within the DLA Distribution Headquarters Distribution Operations Directorate.
Responsible for the Customer Support/Research team(s) and serves as the DLA Distribution focal point for supporting DLA Customers in all business areas.
Contributes recommendations in the development of the Customer Relationship Management program objectives and participates in meetings and special projects
Serves as the primary interface to the Defense Supply Centers’ Customer Account Specialists, DLA Customer Service Representatives, and Customer Account Managers.
Establishes workload for team leads and prepares short- and long-range goals/plans to enhance distribution performance and customer requirements.
Ensures the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are integrated into the teams’ strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, work products and service.
Responsible for programs and projects directly related to enhancing customer support requiring knowledge of Service (Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force) operations as well as other Federal and non-Federal entities.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Providing guidance to employees on long- and short-range planning, work operations, quality and quantity of work expected;
- Developing and monitoring Distribution Center Customer Management Program goals, approaches, strategy, implementation, and training materials;
- Applying highly analytical and complex knowledge of operations, practice, and policies of distribution functional activities, Supply Chain Integration, supply operations and systems support.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
