About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Determines of equipment, supplies, and maintenance required to avoid work delays. Conducts training in proper handling and storing of hazardous materials for required personnel. Knowledge Inspection MLRS system software codes, robotic controllers, gauges, system specific inception tools / hardware the integrated systems. Uses reference materials (blueprints, diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and utilize Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE). Ensures that personnel are properly trained related to hazardous material/waste management. Performs inspections scheduled maintenance periods, system malfunctions or when removal, replacement, calibration, or alignment is required. Ensures organization is in compliance with hazardous materials/waste regulations and procedures Utilizes graphic user interface, teach pendant, mobile panel, and computer applications to operate, troubleshoot, maintain robotic systems and controllers. Advises employees on task to be performed, work requirements, methods, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility responsibilities and requires successful completion of training IAW ANAD's RCRA permit.
  • Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc., must complete and pass a pre-employment and appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.
  • This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully meet and maintain the requirements of the Physical Security of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives IAW AR 190-11.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a forklift, tow motor, overhead crane, and/or motor vehicle license capable of carrying loads weighing less than four tons.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain certification for Staubli Robot maintenance (RX series).
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain Qualified Electrical Worker (with CPR) certification.
  • This position requires the incumbent to comply with the Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP), governed by AR 600- 85, subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
  • Applicants selected will be required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 Which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess or receive firearms or ammunition.

I have the ability to perform common task including Performing the inspecting, troubleshooting, operating, repairing, modification, testing, and/or normal maintenance of a variety of missiles. Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules for the organization . Perform renovation, demilitarization, modification, and/or normal maintenance of guided missiles.
