This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Phoenix Division.
The position's primary purpose is to support the Business Operations Program (BOP) within the respective DEA Domestic Division. The incumbent will serve as the Financial and Procurement Unit (FPU) Chief and will be responsible for managing and overseeing execution of financial and procurement activities.

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: 1) Planning, managing, and executing the functions and activities of a financial program for an organization, including instructing others on financial management execution; 2) Providing expert advice and guidance on the interpretation of financial and budget laws, regulations, policies and procedures to leadership, customers, and subordinates; 3) Advising on contract policies and procedures; 4) Analyzing and assessing contract execution and managing the disposition of the budgeted funds; and, 5) Monitoring obligations and expenditures of an organization's program.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F).
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
