You will serve as an Equal Employment Specialist in the Corporate Operations Group, Total Force (TF) Strategy & Management Department (TFSMD), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will advise managers and supervisors in the development of an organization's equal employment opportunity (EEO) program.
You will identify systemic and/or other personnel-related problems affecting members of protected groups.
You will investigate equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaints to develop proposed resolutions.
You will develop, coordinate, review, and evaluate programs targeted for members of the above groups.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying comprehensive knowledge of EEO principles, concepts, laws, regulations, policies and relevant precedent decision to recognize, analyze and solve difficult EEO problems;
2) Determining whether requests for reasonable accommodation are justified under the law and suggesting alternate accommodations to management as appropriate;
3) Providing technical advice to management, employees, applicants, other personnel on issues impacting/effecting individuals with disabilities;
4) Providing guidance and advice on matters relating to reasonable accommodation/accessibility plans, policies, and procedures; and
5) Maintaining reasonable accommodation requests, accessibility requests, and medical documentation in a confidential and secure manner.
