About the Position: This position involves performing various administrative tasks to support office operations, including managing and maintaining databases like REMIS, RFMIS, and CEFMS, and ensuring proper file management according to RE business processes. The role also includes assembling and coordinating exhibits for real estate outgrant documents, assisting in lease negotiations and compliance, and supporting minor office upgrades by obtaining and managing cost estimates.

Duties

Utilizes and maintains information in REMIS, RFMIS, and CEFMS databases, ensuring accuracy and updating records upon addition, modification, renewal, or termination of out grants. Establishes, maintains, and updates Division project files, modifying the filing system as needed to meet changing conditions, and ensuring records are properly arranged, classified, and cross-referenced. Assembles and coordinates essential exhibits for real estate out grant documents, assigns contract numbers, and prepares out grant instruments for execution. Assists in the day-to-day management of existing out grants, ensuring compliance with terms, and follows up to ensure timely actions are taken. Assists in negotiating leases and supplemental agreements for less complex space requirements, including conducting market surveys, coordinating with potential lessors, and preparing necessary documentation. Assists in inspecting offices for minor upgrades, obtaining cost estimates, formulating independent cost assessments, and preparing supplemental agreements or requisitions after review by a realty specialist.

Specialized Experience GS-6: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support such as, but not limited to, using automated systems to manage and input data in electronic records, gathering pertinent data to build reports, examining real estate documents for completeness, and/or documenting negotiations of real property and compliance inspection records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. \ OR Successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent. Specialized Experience GS-7: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support such as, but not limited to, conducting realty research, utilizing applicable realty laws, regulations and policies, processing real estate documents, and/or negotiating the use of real property, and ensuring compliance through inspections. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-7 grade level there is no education substitution for experience, you must qualify based on specialized experience.
