This position serves as a Financial Analyst under the leadership of the Regional Director. You will be responsible for ensuring that the recipients, project, and program-specific teams throughout the Regional Office have appropriate levels of support.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience leading, coordinating, and/or overseeing a group of individuals or a team by communicating assignments, projects, timeline due dates, and solving financial control issues.
Experience performing oversight reviews of financial management and conducting financial risk assessments.
Experience performing advanced analytical and quantitative evaluative work associated with financial activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Compliance – Knowledge and understanding of budgeting, accounting, and financial principles, practices and techniques used in the evaluation, analysis and scrutiny of financial systems and the management of financial data.
Problem Solving – Ability to analyze grant applications and determine the impact on environmental, social, economic and FTA rules and regulations, completeness of and accuracy of cost estimates, and grantee financial and management capabilities.
Oral and Written communication: Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed. Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience."
