Duties
Responsible for the management, direction, and leadership of all personnel, resources, workload, supplies and associated functions for the distribution center's daily operation.
Oversees studies to develop, measure, analyze, evaluate, and advise on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of work methods,
Continued from above duty: organizations, manpower utilization, work distribution, management controls, information systems, and performance optimization.
Plans current and long-term objectives, new policies, and procedures for command operations.
Communicates with internal and external customers to identify business opportunities while building and maintaining complex relationships.
Assumes a senior leadership role in developing and monitoring corporate-level strategic approaches integrating DLA performance goals and aligning initiatives to resolve critical, agency-wide or DoD level issues.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Conducts studies to analyze, evaluate, and advise on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of work methods
Plans and directs program reviews to evaluate, advise, and improve supply chain programs
Engages with internal and external customers/stakeholders
Analyzes and reports on organizational operating performance
B. Education: Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
