Duties
Serves as an advisor and expert in diversity, complaints, compliance, and dispute resolution.
Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required.
Coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
Arranges for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to
accomplish tasks or projects.
Provides or arranges for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual
and team tasks.
Communicates team consensus and recommendations to the supervisor on actions affecting team and individual
awards, rewards and recognition.
Researches, and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and
improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Lead Equal Employment Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Conducting data analysis, surveys, and assessments to identify barriers in all major personnel areas and actions.
Establishing partnerships with affinity groups, agency officials, and organizations to promote outreach and recruitment efforts of the organization.
Facilitating efficient processing of reasonable accommodation/accessibility requests in accordance with established federal disability laws, regulations, and policies.
B. Education Substitution: Education may not be substituted for specialized experience for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
