This position is part of the WAPA-DSW-Desert Southwest. As an Energy Management and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the on-shift management of loads and resources and marketing of resources assigned to the office. The incumbent is responsible for power scheduling, energy accounting, reporting and statistical information requests.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Phoenix, AZ duty location.**

The Energy Management and Marketing Specialist (EMMS) performs the following duties at the full performance level:
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
For the AD-3 Level:To qualify for the AD-3 level applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level (AD-2 or GS-7/9) in the federal service. Specialized experience at the AD-3 level for this position is defined as experience with the following:
Knowledge of NERC and the Western Electric Reliability Council interchange scheduling policies and procedures including e-tagging.
Energy accounting procedures related to energy scheduling.
Real time power marketing practices.
Rotating shiftwork and power marketing or electrical power transmission knowledge.
For the AD-4 Level: To qualify for the AD-4 level applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level (AD-3 or GS-11) in the federal service. Specialized experience at the AD-4 level for this position is defined experience with the following:
Coordinating with both internal and external customers, analyzing data, and providing innovative solutions to complex and/or sensitive issues that occur in a dynamic real-time energy trading environment.
Proficient with OASIS system for understanding transmission outages and the purchase of point-to-point or network transmission products.
Understanding of the interactions of emerging energy markets and the effects on bilateral markets, and scheduling.
Applying e-tagging standards for energy delivery.
