You will serve as an ONLINE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR in the College of Distance Education (CDE) of U.S. NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.

Duties

You will have experience utilizing program management principles, practices, methods, and skills required to administer CDE’s nonresident academic programs. You will understand core academic programs and CDE administrative policies and procedures. You will be proficient with database operations in order to interpret large and complex datasets, execute queries, and generate program reports. You will have oral and written communications skills needed to create reports, administrative correspondence, and briefings. You will understand programs evaluation and survey skills to inform data-driven course and program improvements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a student information system to manage data, monitor enrollment, analyze statistics, and generate and prepare reports; 2) Coordinating logistical operation support (reserving classrooms, managing shipment of materials, etc.) to facilitate implementation of program actions; 3) Managing the enrollment process to include reviewing student applications and determining if eligibility for program requirements are met and appropriately arranging the enrollment of students into learning cohorts; and 4) Maintaining academic records in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
