This is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation for Domestic Defense Industrial Base & Major Range and Test Facilities Base in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Perform a wide range of administrative duties pertaining to managing GSA lease and Army owned assets.
Duties
Track, schedule and organize the maintenance schedules of GSA lease and agency owned transportation assets.
Assist Transportation Specialist in providing cost data and advises on rental rates for the motor vehicles in the revolving accounts.
Track and ensure standards for accurate reporting of utilization, operation and maintenance cost by vehicle unit.
Coordinate individual vehicle maintenance frequencies in accordance with manufacturer's technical manuals, vehicle warranty requirements and applicable regulations.
Collect, prepare, maintain, and review data from database to provide metrics regarding workload, downtime, and equipment availability.
Manage safety recalls, identify problem areas, develop solutions, and recommend changes in procedures and policies to higher level personnel.
Collect, prepare, maintain, and review data, such as workload, backlog, and equipment availability to anticipate approaching delays and institute corrective action to prevent actual occurrence.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or expierence requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experiences: Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 grade level, which includes; coordinating the delivery of vehicles for recalls, service and/or maintenance; advising on rental rates to cover operating costs; preparing and issuing paperwork to initiate, document, or complete transportation actions; and conducting or assisting in inspections or investigations of assigned vehicles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NJ-01 (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NJ-02 broadband incorporates former (GS equivalents) GS-05 step 1 through GS-08 step 10 grade levels and salary levels. Pay increase within the band will be accomplished through the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS). Education
