Duties
As a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, you will:
Plan, supervise, and coordinate all work requirements and projects to maintain NIH buildings.
Oversee facility management resources to include personnel, service contracts, financial programs, space utilization and information resources.
Provide technical expertise for major or emergency repairs, alterations, or replacements of NIH facilities and of normal contract repairs as directed.
Maintain knowledge of evolving technology in operations and maintenance techniques and materials that facilitate solving new or unusual technical problems.
Initiate and prepare a wide range of indefinite delivery orders, task orders, and full service maintenance, construction and performance-based contracts.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist GS-1640 position the GS-13 level you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations; conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors; estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects; performing short and long term strategic planning to include budget development, procurement of supplies, materials, and services; overseeing operations for conformance with project plans.
