Duties
You will serve as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), Inspection Branch, Team E, Operations Division, Office of Compliance and Assessment (OCA), U.S. Fleet Cyber Command (FCC).
You will supervise and lead teams of Cybersecurity Assessors (CSAs) in performing inspections and assessments of Navy commands, on-site and remote observations, and assessment of findings obtained as a result of the inspections.
You will lead technical reviews of Navy networks, systems, and programs through cybersecurity inspections, assessments, and processes, ensuring proper conduct of inspections and assessments as well as accurate presentation of findings.
You will lead the team in ascertaining risks to operational missions and the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) due to each organization’s cybersecurity posture.
You will create comprehensive exploitation strategies that identify exploitable technical or operational vulnerabilities.
You will review the results of previous inspections, assessments, and audits by Navy Red and Blue Teams, Cyber Protection Teams, and external organizations
to generate innovative approaches for vulnerability assessments.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 612 and 121, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Documenting and communicating analysis to external organizations.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and developing solutions.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as:
-Experience assessing threats and vulnerabilities through testing and evaluation activities, such as network penetration, application security testing, and social engineering exercises.
-Experience designing tests and tools to conduct system breaches to test security weaknesses and probe/exploit system vulnerabilities.
-Experience identifying the ability of systems and networks to withstand sophisticated adversaries, to identify and demonstrate attack vectors and their impacts, and to provide risk determinations and mitigation/remediation strategies.
-Experience applying ethical hacking principles, tools and techniques in mimicking threat behaviors.
This position is within the Work Category SUPERVISION and MANAGEMENT at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-2210-13.
