This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Industrial Base & Major Range & Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician position located at Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, Utah.
Duties
Checks for completeness and accuracy of all entries which requires a thorough knowledge of Class V Ammunition regulations.
Analyzes and resolves discrepancies with numerous local organizations.
Coordinates and maintains liaison with intra and inter depot organizations, other installations, depots and activities, higher headquarters and other services item and program managers.
Compares data in different databases to assure consistency and accuracy and analyzes the results of applying guidelines to difficult situations and recommends changes.
Enters data into Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and other enterprise resource planning or logistics systems to determine status of receipt transactions and provide reports, data, and transaction analysis.
Performs continuing assignments preparing recurring and special reports and compiling statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.
Checks stock number, document numbers, plant codes, transaction codes etc. to determine cause of error.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously met as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing research to determine supply related issues such as receipt transaction errors and failures; utilizing automated supply systems to run reports, prepare recurring reports, and/or prepare other supply documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Education
