About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician responsible for maintaining records of the various types of equipment assigned, methods of utilization, serviceability, replacement data, repair, services and overall condition.
Duties
Searches through a variety of supply documents, forms, computer databases to validate input processing or determine reasons for discrepancies.
Maintains extensive and effective contacts with property, financial, and procurement personnel to exchange information, resolve problems, or determine corrective actions needed.
Contacts involve customers, initiators of purchases, transportation and/or higher echelons, contractors, to locate or verify items that are received, sent, in-transit, or still required.
Provides follow-up and/or determines status on urgently required, critically short items, or priority items on due-in and due-out registers.
Responsible for following regulations and SOPs for the issue and control of all POL.
Serves as designated Contracting Officer Representative
Plans organizes and performs various duties maintaining registers for incoming and outgoing certified, insured, and registered mail.
Operate forklift to lift and carry load weighing less than 10,000 pounds to height of 168 inches in loading, unloading, and stocking materials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Must obtain and maintain a forklift certification within 6 months of appointment.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying standardized supply regulations, policies and/or procedures to provide supply support to production, shipping, or receiving operations; 2) Performing research to resolve supply discrepancies; 3) Using automated supply systems to enter, correct, and/or retrieve recurring reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
