You will serve as an Admissions Specialist in the Office of Academic Administration of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will supervise, plan, and establish procedures in coordination with the Director of Admissions for admitting all non-foreign national applicants to resident and distance learning programs at NPS.
You will conduct academic evaluations and admission of U.S. military and civilian applicants by analyzing their transcripts and other pertinent academic determiners of success.
You will advise faculty of the impact of accepting a marginal student and coordinate the distribution of academic acceptance or rejection notifications to applicants and/or education centers of all U.S. uniformed services.
You will manage the admission's policies and procedures of all Doctoral Degree applicants.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide evaluation and analysis of strategic enrollments; 2) Co-ordinate and administer the admissions policies; 3) Manage and streamline the processes of Admission's staff members for both resident and distance learning programs; 4) Communicates results of analyses as needed through detailed reports, graphs, and written observation.
FOR GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide evaluation and analysis of strategic enrollments; 2) Assisting with coordinating and administer the admissions policies; 3) Assisting with managing and streamlining the processes of Admission's staff members for both resident and distance learning programs; 4) Communicates results of analyses as needed through detailed reports, graphs, and written observation.
