Job opening: ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS of NAVWARSYSCOM.

Duties

You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all related foreign disclosure, foreign visits, and public release matters. You will review, analyze and resolve complex foreign disclosure issues and provide expert advice and reccomendations. You will evaluate all NAVWAR related foreign disclosure requests to determine eligibility. You will review and process all incoming extended, recurring and one-time Official Foreign Visit Request (FVR) for Cooperative Program Personnel international agreements and associated provision of disclosure authority. You will establish and manage NAVWAR foreign disclosure training.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position has been designated as a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position.
  • A Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required within 24 months of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) analyzing and evaluating management requests for information sharing and disclosures in support of Navy operations. 2) applying operational principles, concepts and practices for resolving complex issues. 3) managing strategic and analytical planning for foreign disclosure activities.
