You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) for the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) at INFOWARTRACMD VIRGINIA BEACH VA. Salary Range for GS-07: $49,713.00 - $64,628.00 Salary Range for GS-06: $44,736.00 - 58,159.00

Duties

You will coordinate appointment schedules (e.g., time allotted, sequence, importance) for senior management to alleviate scheduling conflicts You will create spreadsheets using automation software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) to gather, organize, and present data. You will answer questions or explain information to contacts within and outside the organization. You will edit information to update local policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination

Qualifications

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing office automation software to create or modify DoD documents; 2) Assisting with database and/ or spreadsheet software to compile and prepare military related reports; 3) Maintaining an office calendar to schedule appointments; 4) Establishing/ maintaining DoD filing systems in accordance with DoD policy guidelines and established procedures. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Utilizing automated systems to enter personnel information; 2) Establishing personnel forms, records, and files in accordance with policies and procedures and 3) Retrieving personnel data to answer questions, respond to correspondence, or for preparing reports or briefings.
