This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO - Treasury Operations. The position serves as the Branch Head of the Events and Culinary Operations Branch (ECO), Support Services Division, Treasury Operations, Office of Management/CFO, Departmental Offices (DO). The incumbent is responsible for leading the ECO daily operations including planning, implementation and evaluation of Treasury-managed conferences and events.

Duties

As an Events and Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will: Be responsible the coordination processes for the Department's meetings and events including coordination with the appropriate parties including the Director of Operations (Scheduling and Advance for the Secretary), United States Secret Service, federal state local elected officials, US embassies around the world, business and community leaders, among many others. Obtains and plans arrangements suitable for events at Federal or private facilities including all administrative arrangements for conferences and meetings; coordinates guest lists, directs services of administrative personnel, evaluates technical aspects of events including professional services. Chairs meetings with appropriate Treasury staff to discuss logistical and administrative arrangements. Prepares motorcade assignments, program sequence and appropriate press coverage, etc.; prepares briefs for designated official or his designee which outline plans and offer recommendations for final decisions. Direct and coordinate internal and external meeting and event planning for the Department in direct support of the Department's national and international mission. Execute meeting and conference coordination logistics, special event planning, protocol, conference planning and program management, and in-house dining services, including oversight of the Treasury Executive Dining Room and the all employee café. Coordinates and performs logistical planning for high profile events including the G-7, G-20, and other special events for the Treasury Secretary, as well as all Departmental conferences, meetings, and special events. Plan, direct and supervise the analyses of data related to conferences and events undertaken by the Office. Ensure effective collaboration and integration of various support teams including continuing education, contracting, reporting and analytics, and marketing and public relations.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Understanding concepts related to planning and executing official events for organizations or international events. (i.e., special events, meetings, conferences, or symposiums); AND Experience with food service operations such as individual restaurant style, cafeteria, catering, menu planning, or special events; AND Regularly consult with clients to identify event goals and objectives, and assist in event planning processes, including developing project plans and meeting project deadlines. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
