Duties

Manages the Recycling Program. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating, business activity with a fluctuating market base. Assists the Business Programs chief in coordinating functions with community, installation and higher headquarters. Performs as the leader in developing employee work schedules, daily assignments and approves/disapproves leave request. Monitors procurement of all supplies and equipment for the activity. Coordinates marketing strategies for advertising and promoting the Recycling Program. Conducts management reviews of the organization's goals and objectives toward mission accomplishment to identify shortfalls and initiates appropriate corrective measures. Evaluates the success of the program in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission1 accomplishment. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, develops activity financial plan.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• A physical is required due to incumbent being required to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Satisfactory completion of AFIT, WENV 160 QRP Management DAC, AMMO 45-DL within six (6) months from date of employment.
• Satisfactory completion of Introduction to Ammunition DAC, AMMO 65-DL and Army Explosives Safety Familiarization training is required within six (6) months from date of employment.
• Satisfactory completion of a Hazard Waste Refresher training must be successfully completed annually thereafter.

Qualifications

Must have work experience which includes performing most or all the duties described above. Must possess a basis knowledge of federal regulations and legislation pertaining to the Recycling Program and Solid Waste Management. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, the civilian population and local community. Must be able to effectively lead a civilian work force and manage the associated resources. Highly Preferred Criteria: Highly Preferred Applicants will possess: At least 1 year of work experience following Regulations that relate to Recycling Programs? At least 1 year of work experience creating Business Plans and market research that supports revenue generation?
