Duties

Serve as the Plant’s proponent and principal point of contact to develop, recommend and generate policies for the handling of direct sales initiatives in support of the industrial base mission strategy and execution. Develops marketing plans detailing potential targets of opportunity for P3 and required action plans to realize established goals. Presents briefings and plant tours to a wide range of audiences up to general officer and senior executive service level, corporate chief executive officers, foreign dignitaries, and high level congressional delegations. Initiates and conducts complex research analysis to identify potential marketing opportunities to enhance and maximize long-range planning, mission objectives, resources, organizations, and operations.

Requirements

  • This position requires business travel occasionally to CONUS and OCONUS locations on temporary duty.

Qualifications

The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as Business Development Manager located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Working with policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to planning and execution of ammunition production, maintenance and demilitarization programs; Interpreting and applying federal procurement laws, regulations, policies and procedures when recruiting, training, educating or developing businesses interested in doing business with the government or prime contractors, such as supplier training or supplier development; Coordinate with government entities and prime contractors to support the accomplishment of their business goals, such as needs assessment, requirements development, assessment of business capabilities, and acquisition planning; and Review and assists in developing all cost estimates for direct sales. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsMarketingPersonnel and HRProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
