This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Forecast, monitor, schedule, and expedite materials needed to support anticipated and unanticipated programs.
Perform root cause analysis of material shortages/outages.
Analyze material consumption for trending purposes.
Review incoming production forecasts, current inventory levels, and material on order to fulfill material requirements.
Monitor stock levels of all Ammunition Operations supplies needed for execution, to include government and customer furnished materials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel occasionally.
Qualifications
About the Position: Perform a range of analytical studies and projects related to maintenance production operations, support items, and their components and subassemblies. Study organizations, allocation, and effectiveness of controls and methods, work processes, or functions that are interrelated.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Experience determining changes or shortages in material requirements within an automated data base, such as Logistics Modernization Program;
Experience monitoring work center reports and data to analyze and evaluate productivity and efficiency;
Experience monitoring delivery schedules of supplies and explosives components; and
Experience monitoring stock levels of materials, supplies, and explosives components.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in any major field of study which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office. May require occasional travel.
