You will serve as a Operations Research Analyst within IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.
Duties
You will conduct scientific and technical analyses to formulate definitive methodologies related to ordnance requirements and operational priorities.
You will issue yearly reports documenting methodologies and results of the ordinance requirements.
You will participate and conduct analyses of munitions sustainment and sufficiency issues.
You will provide authoritative programmatic and budgetary guidance and direction for naval ordnance items, system, and requirements.
You will review all programming and budgeting line items in association with munitions procurement and sustainment, interfacing with N80 and FMB as required.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying concepts-of-operations research analysis to develop methodologies relative to ordnance requirements.
2) Participating in and conduct analyses of munitions sustainment and sufficiency issues.
3) Providing authoritative programmatic and budgetary guidance and direction for naval ordnance items, systems, and requirements.
4) Integrating guidance, operational concepts and data, and translate lessons learned from current operations into munitions requirements.
5) Coordinating with the combatant commands (CCMD) and Joint Staff during OPLAN threat development to articulate the Naval Service warfighting position.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree: in operations research;
OR
At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
