About the Position: This position is located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Fort McCoy is located in west-central Wisconsin, midway between Chicago and Minneapolis, just off Interstates 90 & 94. Duties

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve problems. Validate Primary Hand Receipt (PHR) for all equipment transferred into and out of the Operations Support Division. Direct monthly cyclic inventories and sensitive item inventories. Track all usage, damage reports, and mileage for all General Services Administration (GSA) equipment/vehicles. Use the Government Purchase Card (GPC) to procure supplies, equipment, and services. Maintain an automated supply system for accounting of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • A 1-year Probationary Period may be required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves applying supply regulations, policies and procedures to authorize procurement of materials from government and commercial vendor sources; follow well-established inventory management practices and procedures in the planning, requisitioning, storing, and issuing of supplies and furnishings; using automated systems in ordering, tracking, preparing documents, and maintaining inventory; following procedures and regulation to inspect supplies and equipment and returning or reporting shortages or damages; and solving problems due to cancellations, shortages, or items requiring repairs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ConscientiousnessSelf-ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
